The Commission on Higher Education – Caraga Regional Office (CHED Caraga) conducted a virtual regional assembly with the Registrars and Focal Persons of the National Service Training Program (NSTP), Higher Education Management Information System (HEMIS), and Gender and Development (GAD) of Caraga Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) on the morning of December 22, 2023 via Zoom teleconferencing platform.
The assembly aimed at presenting updates and discussing issues and other concerns relating to the various processes and programs involving the HEI Registrars and Focal Persons and ensuring harmony and alignment in the implementation and continuity of these processes and programs.
After a welcome message by OIC Regional Director Ms. Alma Sy-Patron, JD, MSW, RSW, the following discussions were given during the assembly with CHED Caraga personnel as resource persons:
Records Officer Ms. Revelyn P. Brina, MAEd discussed the Submissions of the Enrollment List (EL), Promotional Reports (PR), and List of Graduates (LG) for Academic Years 2022-2023 and 2023-2024; as well as the Application in the Issuance of Special Order (S.O.) and the Application in the Issuance of Certification, Authentication, and Verification (CAV).
Education Supervisor (ES) II Dr. Criseldo C. Calinawan, PECE discussed the Request for NSTP Serial Number using the NSTP Portal. ES II Dr. Rolyna S. Trugillo discussed the Emerging Issues and Concerns Relative to Program Implementation.
The Status on the Annual Data Collection for Academic Year 2023-2024 was discussed by ES II Amy C. Saavedra, as well as the Updates on the Harmonization and Reconciliation of CHEDRO HEIs program offerings.
As the last discussion for the assembly, ES II Dr. Frederick C. Amihan, RN gave an Orientation on the CHED Memorandum Order (CMO) No. 1 series of 2015 “Establishing the Policies and Guidelines on Gender and Development (GAD) in the Commission on Higher Education and Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).”
The participants were also able to engage in dialogue with the resource persons through an open forum.
