CHED Caraga Education Supervisors II Dr. Criseldo Calinawan and Mr. Amy Saavedra attend the Data Protection Officer – Accountability, Compliance, Ethics (DPO ACE) Program Level 1 Certification Program, held at Balanga City, Bataan from April 19-22, 2022. The program is launched by the Legal and Legislative Service (LLS) in partnership with the National Privacy Commission (NPC). The objectives of the program are as follows: -Provide basic data privacy training to CHED personnel in collaboration with its Legal and Legislative Services. -Achieve maximum compliance and awareness, extending to more citizens. Provide direct engagement to regional DPOs and to diversify the involvement of different stakeholders and data subjects. -Promote equal opportunities for men and women attending the DPO ACE, leading to achieve maximum capacity of human development. -Aside from extending the coverage of the NPC, this will form an avenue for the Commission to identify and understand different privacy concerns across the archipelago.
