The Commission on Higher Education – Caraga Regional Office (CHED Caraga) Management Information System (MIS) personnel served as invited resource speakers during the System Development: Ministry of Basic, Higher, and Technical Education (MBHTE) Digitalization Seminar Phase II, held last March 10-12, 2022, at The Farm, Carpenter Hills, Koronadal City.

Regional Director George Colorado gave a short message during the activity. Mr. Amy Saavedra, Education Supervisor II and MIS Focal, gave a presentation on Information System Development, followed by a demonstration of MIS web developers, Mr. Calwin Alegre and Mr. Ronan Otaza, on the operation of the CHED Caraga Management Information System and the CHED Scholarship Program Portal.

The presentations and demonstrations given by the MIS Unit during the seminar provided key insights for the attending participants into the best practices of CHED Caraga in its Data Management Systems that may be emulated in the development of their own systems.

Plaques of Appreciation were awarded to Director Colorado, Mr. Saavedra, Mr. Alegre and Mr. Otaza, in acknowledgement of their distinguished and invaluable efforts as Resource Speakers during the seminar.

The plaques were signed by Dr. Maximo C. Aljibe, Director of the Higher Education in the Context of Bangsamoro Organic Law (HECBOL) Project. Presenting the plaques were D.G. Marjuni M. Maddi, Director General of the MHBTE, and Mr. Edwin B. Cabuga, Project Technical Staff III of the HECBOL Project.

The training activity is organized by CHED through the HECBOL Project.
