The Commission on Higher Education – Caraga Regional Office (CHED Caraga) Regional Director George Colorado and Education Supervisor II Mr. Amy Saavedra conducted an ocular visit at Saint Joseph Institute of Technology (SJIT) for a monitoring, evaluation, and consultative meeting relative to the Expanded Tertiary Education Program (ETEEAP).
RD Colorado and Mr. Saavedra met with Dr. Leticia C. Salas, CEO and President of SJIT, as well as ETEEAP Coordinator Ms. Rebonita B. Sasuman, Dean of the College of Business and Information Technology Dr. Josefa Canoy, VP for Academics and Research Dr. Marilou H. Mella, and Dean of the College of Criminal Justice Education Dr. Marjune I. Millones.
The HEI was evaluated on the following areas:
-Consistency of ETEEAP with the HEI’s VMGO
-Organizational Management for Implementing ETEEAP
-Funding for ETEEAP Implementation
-ETEEAP Assessment Processes and Requirements
-Quality Assurance System for Sustaining Formal Academic Program Alternative Learning System for Higher Education
-Program Capability
-Accreditation
SJIT is so far the only Deputized HEI in the region to implement the ETEEAP.
