CHED Caraga Christmas Party

CHED Caraga Regional Office lifted the employees’ Christmas spirits celebrating its annual recognition of praiseworthy employees together with their families on December 18, 2019, 3rd floor HEDC Building, CSU Campus, Ampayon, Butuan City.

Employees were recognized and granted with cash incentives for the exemplified dedication and service they have rendered to CHED Caraga. Ten regular and non-regular personnel were awarded for being outstanding of each competency, namely: Communication, Ethics and Integrity, Job Knowledge, Professionalism, Stress Management, Teamwork, Adaptability, Creativity and Innovation, Initiative and Resourcefulness, and Service Orientation. Awards were given by the Regional Director, Dr. Leonida S. Calagui; OIC-Chief Education Program Specialist, Dr. Julia Felisa C. Martinez; and the Chief Administrative Officer, Ms. Alma S. Patron, RSW, LlB.

Besides the recognition of employees, CHED Caraga showed their creative and talented sides with the Office Decorating Competition and Christmas Performance. The Records Department won for best decorations, while the Technical Unit slayed with their Eighties-inspired presentation and took home the prize.

Before the night ended, Dr. Calagui left some inspiring words not just to bring to our homes, but to live by it as well. The most memorable one was that, “You can only love others when you start loving yourself.” She concluded that, it was her first time celebrating Christmas in Caraga and that it was unusual for her to attend a fellowship with the employees’ family since she is used to celebrating it only with the employees.

It has become an annual tradition for the CHED family to celebrate, acknowledge, and reward deserving employees for their pioneering ideas, exemplary behavior, extraordinary services in public concerns, and other personal efforts contributing not only for their self-improvement, but also for the productivity in their field of work. The Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE) was designed to encourage these mentioned qualities to produce competent, innovative, and efficient officials and employees who should be recognized and be given a well-deserved praise as per CSC Resolution No. 010112.
