The Commission on Higher Education – Caraga Regional Office (CHED Caraga) conducted a virtual Reorientation on the CHED Memorandum Order (CMO) No. 15 series of 2019, or the “Policies, Standards, and Guidelines for Graduate Programs” with Presidents, Deans and Program Heads, Research and Creative Work (RCW) Directors, Librarians, Registrars and other key officials of Higher Education Institutions (HEis) offering graduate programs on October 10, 2023 via Microsoft Teams teleconferencing platform.

Facilitated by the CHED Caraga Technical Division supervisors led by OIC Regional Director Ms. Alma Sy-Patron, JD, MSW, RSW, the reorientation was given by resource speaker Dr. Jose V. Camacho, the Chair of the Graduate Education Technical Working Group (TWG) and Chancellor of the University of the Philippines Los Baños.

The re-orientation aimed to provide opportunities for graduate program administrators to refresh their knowledge and interpretation on the implementation of CMO No. 15 s. 2019; to prepare them in the accomplishment of self-assessment and self-evaluation relative to their compliance to the CMO; and to allow other HEIs to appreciate the CMO for their plans to offer graduate programs in the future.
