The Commission on Higher Education – Caraga Regional Office participated in the 2026 National Womenโs Month Celebration Kick-Off Ceremony on March 2, 2026, in Butuan City, marking the official start of the month-long celebration in the Caraga Region.
The activity commenced with a motorcade from the Butuan City Sports Complex to Caraga State University (CSU), Ampayon, symbolizing strong support from government agencies and stakeholders for gender and development initiatives.
CHED Caraga was represented by Dr. Frederick C. Amihan, Education Supervisor II and Gender and Development (GAD) focal person, along with other CHED personnel. The program included discussions on gender-fair language and reporting, as well as the announcement of activities for the 2026 National Womenโs Month Celebration, reinforcing participating agenciesโ commitment to gender equality and womenโs empowerment.
Through its participation, CHED Caraga reaffirmed its support for gender-responsive programs and initiatives that promote inclusive, equitable, and sustainable development across the Caraga Region.
