The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Caraga Regional Office, through the Unified Student Financial Assistance System for Tertiary Education (UniFAST), proudly presented the UniFAST Caraga Management Information System (UCMIS) as one of the region’s best practices, during the UniFAST Coordination Meeting on October 24, 2025 at the CHED Central Officer Auditorium, Diliman, Quezon City.
The system was recognized as a valuable model for improving financial monitoring and data management across regions, essential in the efficient and transparent implementation of the UniFAST programs.
CHEDRO Caraga personnel headed by Mr. Ever Joy G. Rabadan, Education Supervisor II/Scholarship Unit In-charge, together with Ms. Mercedes R. Vitor, Project Technical Staff II, shared the salient features of the UCMIS and emphasized how innovation significantly contributes to the effective delivery of scholarship programs in Caraga region.
The Coordination Meeting was organized by the UniFAST Secretariat, led by OIC Executive Director Atty. Septon De La Cruz, aiming to discuss major updates on the Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) and Tulong Dunong Program (TDP). It further served as a venue for the CHED Regional Directors, representatives from the Administrative, Financial and Management Service (AFMS), UniFAST regional coordinators, accountants, and other focal persons to discuss initiatives that would help enhance the implementation and streamline processes of the UniFAST programs.
