The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Caraga extended full support to the Commission on Human Rights (CHR) Caraga during the conduct of the Tertiary Student Leaders Confab on Human Rights Year 3 held on October 20-23, 2025 at Hotel Oazis, Butuan City.
Highlights of the event include the pitching of student leaders’ proposed projects that mainly focus on promoting and raising awareness of human rights.
HEI finalists include: 1) Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology (ASSCAT); 2) Caraga School of Business, Inc (CSB); 3) De La Salle John Bosco College (DLSJBC); 4) North Eastern Mindanao State University-Lianga Campus (NEMSU-Lianga); 5) Northeastern Mindanao Colleges (NEMCO); 6) Philippine Normal University Mindanao(PNU-Mindanao); 7) St. Paul University Surigao (SPUS); and 8) Saint Theresa College of Tandag, Inc (STCTI).
CHED Caraga, represented by Dr. Frederick C. Amihan, Education Supervisor II, expressed the Commission’s support in continuously raising awareness and understanding of human rights and gender issues among students across the region.
