The Commission on Higher Education (CHED), in partnership with the Department of Agriculture (DA) and the ACEF Program Management Office (PMO), held the National Orientation on the Enhanced Implementing Guidelines of ACEF–GIAHEP on August 6–8, 2025 at Gamboa’s Orchard, Malilipot, Albay to orient stakeholders on Joint Memorandum Circular No. 2, s. 2024, provide program updates, and gather ideas for future ACEF summits.
The event featured messages from Director Rodel P. Tornilla of DA RFO V, Dr. Demetrio P. Anduyan, Jr., CHED Region V Regional Director, and Director Fernando D. Flores of ACEF PMO; a presentation by Ms. Cynthia Q. Hernandez; and inspirational messages from Asec. Paz J. Benavidez II and Mr. Raul Q. Montemayor.
Representing CHEDRO Caraga, Mr. Ever Joy G. Rabadan, ACEF–GIAHEP Focal and Mr. Vincent T. Galinato, ACEF–GIAHEP, Supporting Staff attended the orientation as official delegates. Their participation ensured the region remains updated on guidelines and implementation strategies to better serve ACEF grantees.
Through this national orientation, CHED, DA, and the ACEF PMO reaffirmed their commitment to sustaining meaningful support for grantees, enhancing the competitiveness of the agriculture sector, and expanding higher education opportunities in agriculture and related disciplines.
