The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Caraga Regional Office actively participated during the CHED-wide GAD Agenda Training and Formulation of the CHED GAD Agenda 2026–2031 held on August 26-29, 2025 at Lake Hotel, Tagaytay City.

The activity was organized by the CHED Gender and Development (GAD) Unit, which generally aims to strengthen both technical knowledge and strategic alignment on GAD implementation across CHED offices. It also provided a venue to revisit and align the Gender and Development (GAD) Focal Point System (GFPS) strategies with the core GAD messages, ensuring cohesive and gender-responsive policies and programs moving forward.

Dr. Frederick C. Amihan, Education Supervisor II and CHED Caraga’s GAD Focal, represented the regional office in this four-day workshop.

The initiative forms part of CHED’s support to the national agenda on gender equality and its role in shaping higher education institutions as champions of inclusive development.
