The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Caraga Regional Office successfully conducted the orientation for the 2025 application cycle of the Scholarship for Instructors’ Knowledge Advancement Program (SIKAP) last July 22-23, 2025 via online platform.
The activity aimed to discuss the latest application policies and guidelines of the program with potential applicants from different higher education institutions across the region. It also served as a venue to address queries from stakeholders and reiterate the roles and responsibilities of the delivering HEIs.
Said orientation was graced by CHED Caraga Regional Director, Dr. Nelia A. Alibin, together with Dr. Rolyna S. Trugillo, Supervising Education Program Specialist and Alternate Permanent Focal Person for SIKAP, and the facilitators, Mr. Alexander A. Zambrano, Project Technical Staff III, and Ms. Reizzel C. Berro, Project Technical Staff II.
SIKAP is one of CHED’s key initiatives aimed at strengthening the capacity of HEIs by providing scholarships to qualified faculty and HEI personnel to pursue graduate studies in priority disciplines.
Through this program, CHED continues to promote academic excellence and professional development among educators across the country.
