The first surveillance audit for ISO 9001:2015 certification was carried out by SOCOTEC Certification Philippines, Inc. at the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Caraga Regional Office on January 20 to 21, 2025. SOCOTEC Auditor Mr. Jose Emmanuel Thomas Diel conducted the audit, evaluating the Regional Office’s adherence to the standards.
Following the two-day assessment, the Regional Office was recommended for continuation of its ISO 9001:2015 certification. The audit results revealed no minor or major non-conformities, a testament to the unwavering dedication to excellence and high-quality service of the Regional Office.
𝗔𝗱𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱:
A. Issuance of National Service Training Program (NSTP) Serial Numbers,
B. Application for Student Financial Assistance Programs (StuFAPs) / CHED Merit Scholarship Program (CSP),
C. Application for Initial Permit (GP) / Government Recognition (GR) / Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) for Undergraduate Programs except for Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation(BSMT), Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering ( BS MarE), Programs without Existing Policies, Standards, and Guidelines (PSGs) and those under the Legal Education Board (LEB).
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗶𝘁 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀:
• Validate the implementation of the quality management system by the CHED Caraga Regional Office in compliance with the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) standards.
• Demonstrate the organization’s commitment to maintaining and continually improving its QMS.• Ensure all documented processes and implemented practices meet the established requirements of the ISO 9001:2015 standard.
• Identify opportunities for improvement to further enhance the organization’s quality service delivery.
The Regional Office would like to recognize the efforts contributed by its personnel, under the leadership of CHED Caraga Regional Director Dr. Nelia A. Alibin, in the success of the surveillance audit: Planning Officer and Education Supervisor II, Dr. Criseldo C. Calinawan, PECE, Project Technical Staff II Mr. Alexis Dave San Miguel, and the process owners and unit heads of the Office.
With this momentous achievement, the CHED Caraga Regional Office further solidifies its position as a leader in quality management and service excellence in higher education.
