In line with its commitment to advancing student development initiatives, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Caraga Regional Office, represented by its Regional Director, Dr. Nelia A. Alibin, actively joined the Public Consultation on the Proposed Policies and Guidelines for the Virtual and Hybrid Internship Program (VHIP) held on, November 6, 2025, at the Grand Regal Hotel, Davao City.
The consultation, organized by the CHED Office of Student Development and Services (OSDS), and participated by CHED Regional Directors, Focal Persons for Internship Programs, and representatives from different HEIs across Visayas and Mindanao, aimed to gather insights and recommendations from CHED Regional Offices and Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) for the refinement of the proposed policies on the implementation of internship programs in virtual and hybrid modalities.
This initiative emphasizes the Commissionโs commitment to strengthening the framework for student development and ensuring that internship programs remain responsive, inclusive, and aligned with the evolving demands of the academic and industry sectors.
