The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Caraga Regional Office successfully conducted the 2025 ASEAN Month Culmination Program on August 28, 2025 at Robinsons Place, Butuan City, which brought together higher education institutions (HEIs) in a vibrant celebration of ASEAN unity and diversity.
The event highlighted various activities that showcased the talents and creativity of Caraga HEIs, including the ASEAN-inspired Dessert Setup Contest, ASEAN-themed Fruit and Vegetable Carving Competition, and the Showcase of ASEAN Cultural Attires.
The event was also highlighted with the fruit carving exhibition by Chef Benjamin Senaca, as well as the performances from the talented students of Caraga State University and the Philippine Electronics and Communication Institute of Technology (PECIT) which added impact to the celebration.
CHED Caraga Regional Director Dr. Nelia A. Alibin emphasized in her inspirational message the importance of embracing ASEAN identity, strengthening regional collaboration, and promoting cultural understanding through education and student engagement.
The culmination program forms part of CHED Caraga’s continuing commitment to support the national celebration of ASEAN Month, ensuring that the region’s academic community remains active partners in advancing ASEAN awareness, solidarity, and cooperation.
