In the efforts to ensure continued compliance of higher education institutions and the effective implementation of government student financial assistance programs, the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office (CHEDRO) Caraga conducted a three-day monitoring,  evaluation, and validation visits to six (6) HEIs in Bislig City and Hinatuan on September 1-3, 2025.

Over the course of the visits, CHEDRO team assessed institutional and program compliance of Andres Soriano Colleges of Bislig (ASCB), Saint Vincent de Paul Diocesan College (SVPDC), Southern Technological Institute of the Philippines (STIP), De La Salle John Bosco College (DLSJBC), North Eastern Mindanao State University (NEMSU) Bislig Campus, and Hinatuan Southern College (HSC). The activities included comprehensive M&E, validation of grantee records, and verification of HEI adherence to CHED’s Policies, Standards, and Guidelines (PSGs).

Leading the activity was CHED Caraga Regional Director Dr. Nelia A. Alibin, together with Dr. Julia Felisa C. Martinez, Chief Education Program Specialist, Dr. Rolyna S. Trugillo, Supervising Education Program Specialist, Education Supervisors Mr. Ever Joy G. Rabadan, Mr. Amy C. Saavedra, Dr. Criseldo C. Calinawan, and Dr. Frederick C. Amihan, as well as various UniFAST personnel.

Through these visits, CHEDRO Caraga reinforces its commitment to promoting quality assurance, transparency, and accountability in higher education, ensuring that Caraganons have access to inclusive, relevant, and excellent academic programs across the region.
