The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Caraga and the Provincial Government of Dinagat Islands conducted the final facility inspection for Surigao del Norte State Universityβs extension classes in the Province of Dinagat Islands (PDI) last July 17, 2025.
The facility is located at Barangay Cuarinta National High School, where SNSU will hold its extension classes starting this month. Initially, 3 degree programs will be offered: 1) Bachelor of Science in Agro-Forestry; 2) Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology; and 3) Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, each accommodating 50 students.
Said inspection was headed by Regional Director Dr. Nelia A. Alibin, together with the Provincial Governor, Hon. Nilo P. Demerey Jr., MPM. Also joining the activity were CHED Education Supervisors Dr. Rolyna S. Trugillo and Mr. Ever Joy G. Rabadan, MSc, alongside provincial officials and SNSU representatives.
Through this collaboration, CHED Caraga expresses its commitment to expanding access to quality higher education, strengthening partnerships with local governments, and supporting academic development in the region.
