The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Caraga Regional Director, Dr. Nelia A. Alibin, Ph.D., conducted a series of courtesy visits to various higher education institutions (HEIs) in Surigao City, accompanied by Education Supervisors II, Dr. Rolyna S. Trugillo and Mr. Ever Joy G. Rabadan.

The team’s first stop was at Northeastern Mindanao Colleges (NEMCO), where they received a warm welcome from University President, Dr. Josefa J. Paloma. Following this, they paid their respects at the wake of Engr. George M. Salabao, the late President of St. Jude Thaddeus Institute of Technology, honoring his legacy in the education sector.

Concluding their visit, the CHED Caraga delegation proceeded to Surigao del Norte State University (SNSU) to extend their congratulations to the newly installed University President, Dr. Rowena A. Plando.

These visits underscored CHED Caraga’s commitment in strengthening partnerships with HEIs and supporting leadership transitions within the region’s academic institutions.
