The Commission on Higher Education – Caraga Regional Office (CHED Caraga) Management Information System (MIS) personnel, served as an invited resource speaker during the 2022 Project JobsFit Pre-Regional Consultation Workshop, held last July 4, 2022, at Almont Inland Resort, Butuan City.

In lieu of Mr. Amy C. Saavedra, MSCA, Education Supervisor II – MIS Head, who attended an equally important activity in Cagayan de Oro, Ms. Jan Myrtle  J. Villanueva, Project Technical Officer II – Regional Statistical Focal Officer, represented CHED Caraga to speak on the “Assessment of Skills Availability and the Higher Education Programs in the Region”. Along with Ms. Villanueva were resource speakers from NEDA Caraga, Ms. Naomi T. Mission; DTI Caraga, Ms. Gemma Clarin; and TESDA Caraga, Mr. Rovie Bryan Conde.

The presentations given by the speakers gave the attending participants an overview of necessary and significant data which concerns their respective industries. These data gave them an idea of the industry’s role in the regional development progress and what they can do or provide to improve the performance of the respective industries.

The said workshop was facilitated and conducted by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Caraga, under the leadership of Regional Director Joffrey M. Suyao, CESO III. The main objective of the said consultation was to coordinate with the different industries in the region for the updating of data for 2022 Project JobsFit.
